Service calls
Service Calls & Odd Jobs
Small jobs still need a real contractor. Brickyard runs scheduled service calls across Indiana for repairs, punch lists, and the odd jobs most crews are too busy to take — handled by licensed, insured people who show up when they said they would.

Problem → Resolution
What we see, and how we fix it
- Homeowners with a short list of repairs that keeps growing
- Seniors who need one safe, insured person for small fixes
- Landlords with turn punch lists between tenants
- Realtors working an inspection repair list before closing
- Businesses needing light facility repairs
The problem
- The job is too small for most contractors to return a call
- Doors stick, trim is loose, faucets drip, and nothing is urgent enough alone
- An inspection list needs several unrelated items done before a closing date
- Previous help was unlicensed, uninsured, or never came back
- The homeowner cannot safely do the work themselves anymore
The resolution
- Scheduled half-day and full-day service calls
- Drywall patching, trim, caulk, and paint touch-ups
- Door, lock, hinge, and hardware adjustment and replacement
- Faucet, toilet, garbage disposal, and basic fixture replacement
- Grab bars, handrails, shelving, mounting, and safety items
- Gutter cleaning, exterior caulking, and small exterior repairs
Typical process
- Send us the list — the whole list, not just one item
- We confirm what fits in a single visit and what needs separate scheduling
- We schedule a half-day or full-day block
- We work the list in priority order and flag anything we find
- We confirm what was completed and what still needs attention
Scope sheet
What Brickyard reviews
- The full list of items so a single trip can cover as much as possible
- Whether any item needs a licensed specialty trade
- Parts and fixtures the owner already has versus what we supply
- Access, parking, and any pets or scheduling constraints
- Whether the work is actually a larger repair in disguise
What Brickyard may furnish or install
- Common hardware, fasteners, caulk, patching compound, and paint
- Standard replacement fixtures when the owner wants us to supply them
- Specialty trade support when an item requires a licensed trade
- Photo documentation of completed items when requested
Pricing guidance
Service calls are scheduled in half-day and full-day blocks rather than per item, which is why it pays to batch the list. Materials are separate. If an item turns out to be a larger repair, we stop and price it before continuing.
Exclusions
- Emergency same-hour dispatch
- Licensed specialty work outside our scope without a trade partner
- Roof replacement, major structural work, or full system replacements
- Work on property the client is not authorized to modify
FAQs
Is there a job too small?
Not really — but the smallest jobs are best batched with other items so a scheduled block is worth the trip.
Do you take odd jobs other contractors turn down?
Yes. Awkward, unusual, and unglamorous repairs are a normal part of our schedule.
Are you licensed and insured for small work?
Yes. The same licensing, bonding, and insurance that cover our remodels cover a service call.
Can you handle an inspection repair list before closing?
Yes, as long as the timeline is realistic and any specialty-trade items are identified early.
